Haversack
2-26-18
"Haversack", a word often silently whispering
Into my left ear quite painstaking
The privilege to read their book
And some of my own
As King Limhi commands not just a suggestion
But good advices on a northbound caboose
O, ye my people
Lift up your heads and be comforted
Now I know in you wardrobe
Please don't say this is what you said
Or I'll be dead made a king by the voice of the people
In the last one I see by the narrow and broad way
Going somewhere with dead books and bed hooks
And mahogany rooks
In the land of Zaeahelma
Haversack is what we need today
Flat broke over a ton of hay
Lift up your heads that we might not perish
Have ye not known!
We want and need to share
Just to pay for the spare....
Supplanter Revisited
2-26-18
Going beneath the ground
See here how it all leads up to now
In Zeus In Apollo
One night gladly follow
In that it seems that it will never be good enough
When the soul is not satisfied with stuff
O, who hath directed the Spirit
No harm done
Save to kill on more hour on the skids
Where no allegory can explain Jesus
Come discussion as to the origin
And newfangled equations
To whom shall I be equal
Isarel, O speak
Damascus O continue to seek
As bidden
My way is never hidden
As scarcely we are as planted
Where every dream shared is a gift
Pressing some odd theories on the day shift
Mind so weary and palate ruined by grape juice....
On Isaiah 41:17,18
2-26-18
Swigging my Ocean Spray
Not my own but of He of sway
Don't quit now and just let those chips fall
Walk not off but walk tall
Foe the myth to the myth as to draw near and come forth
Tomorrow driving one mile north
Does it sound repetitive
I suppose I'm a parrot with the mouth of a sailor
A poet, a prophet, a pirate
Soon ready for the soldiering
Climbing ladders into heaven
Alas, my servant of a great multitude
Throughout generations of great faith
For the foundation in the midst
Making the wilderness as a pool of water
And a dumptruck for son and daughter
God will not forsake them....
Smoking Flax
2-26-18
Foul ball fair still
Standing tall
Up on skis two minutes concave
All to save all to but rant and rave
Raw salmon a risk of a deal
I hope it stays down for rivers in desolate heights
Anyone can cheat off Scripture
In hopes of new dreams of late winter nights
Indeed you are something else
Made into a new threshing sledge
O, protective hedge
The bay has skipped halfway over
Several beats in lot seats
We need to pick it up or leave it behind
Down the avenue
O, bruise need go on
And break our twofold account
And the smell of the residue
For work details
I should have moved on a long time ago
For smoking flax
Not to quench....
