Music consists of cricket songs
Out my east window
To serve as choruses of this compassion
I savor it as it were my last
Time to but partake in all that is quiet
And resonant

Of systems involving
Competing and conflicting forces
By these dynamics
Of my dream college courses
The money is there
And I have much to learn
From infinite and abundant sources
O, how is it that you agreed together
To tempt the spirit

That transcends our job and our salary

We forget where we come from

God gives so that we must take
O, woe is me that I never thought of this before
Knowing not my ladder from my snake
O, love walks in
And makes us alive and awake
This serves as my childlike scribbling
On my blank page
To but release the catch
Tasting of the fancy stuff
I get my head rush of the Spirit at work
Seeing another world and some other time
Working in my members

As Joshua assumes command
I read on in hopes to understand
O, pass through their camp
And command them to take each other by the hand
Being promised to know a seed as numerable
As stars of heaven and grains of sand
Soon time to prepare provisions
For within three days
We will pass over
And not empty handed

Our cattle are so branded
As love comes walking in
Like some strange alien

Until he hath given me rest
Again come Tuesday
I go back west
Where I will be as a witness
And to be one to pass the test
Seizing five kings at Makkedah
In which my soul doth yet invest
