Impetus
10-27-13
By such impetus and force anointed
Is at the gates our favorite racing horse
Sanctified and set apart
By gallop and canter
Being one to yet boast in belligerent banter
Learning these figures of speech
For the cause yet to teach
Yet still not to practice what we preach
Making it just barely
By the fuzz of a sweet ripe peach
By such impetus and impelling force
Of the nature that one accepts as his own...
Stringent
10-27-13
By stringency, scarceness and strain
Affluence will come down
From the firmament like rain
When we choose to give as a way to live
Beside ourselves in liberality
Where godliness is our great gain
Imposing rigorous standards
For the cause of what can be done
Among those whom are without
Standing outside the circle
Of a life we hope to yet achieve
Hoping to do something
With what we have come to believe...
For Things Not Seen
10-27-13
We are to love the Creator above all creation
Where things not seen are eternal
In seeking out joy and elation
Yet many have turned aside to what is sensual
Of things temporary
Of which doth return to the dust
And many have turned aside to their desires
Of all impending lust
In that all of this makes sense to me
All over again
When in God I hope to place my trust...
Phosphine
10-27-13
By my own phosphine illumination
I can see my many hues
Through closed eyes
Due to the precious light
Penetrating my retina
Of which is just as well
In the realm of the supernatural
Like a marvel and wonder
Of storm clouds of thunder
Where brilliance will be our spoil and plunder
Of the things we take for granted
And the spell we are under
By my own phosphine radiance
I can see it much more clearly
This time around....
Veil
10-29-13
Torn asunder is the barrier
Between God and man
In that I read Scripture
All day today
Because indeed
I can not in the most poetic way
To express the zeal
Of what is real in the way I feel
Not one to borrow or steal
Making with my inward man
My deal torn asunder
Like the veil on another deep and dark sea
Setting sail
Rent in the midst
So is the curtain
So that we might see him
Just as he is
Today...
No Need
10-29-13
In no need to revelutionalize our spirituality
Looking upon ones reflection
In the looking glass
Raising the roof
Going beyond the limitation
Of all that is carnal
By the Spirit of all that is that
Makes clearly seen that which is not
Wanting to apply to life
What I am taught
Where such a roof is a symbol
To a standard that no one these days will live by
One hundred percent
Teaming up with a brother I once knew
In my pen to make it real...
Been There, Done That
10-29-13
Jesus has already won the battle
In that it is not my fight
In that I plow through this sunny day
To make my way into the pleasant dark of night
Jesus has already been there and done that
So that we can go there and see
A marvel that will blow our minds
To the extent of a need to lean upon a wall
For the equilibrium of endeavors to follow
What I see here and now...
