sun

More Of The Sun
6-11-15

Do you want to see more of me
Do you want to find what it is to truly just be
Do you want emancipation and to be free
Come on thou poets and slaves
According to what another addict yet craves
Cigarettes are the hardest thing to give up on the planet
But there is always the new earth
One day I meet my Janet
Avid, enthusiastic, ardent and keen
The pumpkin seed man cries
O, what does it mean!
Avid and insatiable
I hear your tongue and I feel your eyes
Believe not today the devil's lies
There I said it
Keeping my eyes on the prize
Do you want to see more of me
Don't answer....

Voracious
6-11-15

Just be voracious yet craving
Consuming large quantities to quell the vice
Water was no merit in ones saving
If you don't believe you just get wet
Eager and avaricious
And my hand found as a nest
Today I go north
But first must travel west
Taking in the view
For my riches of beauty
Yet available as one to gather eggs
And contribute home fries
Giving strength to feeble legs
Believe not today the devil's lies
Where our seas are sharp and clear
Voracious
Exceedingly eager
And no more meager
Just be...

Not Guilty
6-11-15

Everlasting
The Rock of ages still praying and fasting
In the turning back of pages
Where the smokestack was leaning sideways
As ones open mouth
A deep wherein such a message we could not go
More deep the universe
Is loving enough for me tonight to sweetly sleep
Where the veil is torn asunder
There was none that moved the wing
There was nobody in the mood to sing
Another communion
It's a huddle up and a remembrance
Of what Jesus has already done
The blood says, "Not guilty"....

Cleansing Never Stops
6-11-15

A sacred, special and sobering time
We, the peculiar people well worth writing this rhyme
Cleanse to keep on cleansing
And it never stops
He never learned to swim
But he looks after his cash crops
Where death is on the rampage
To live is Christ and to die is gain
In no such thing as the eradication of the old nature
It's a huddle up of lust and its warfare
In the Spirit verses flesh
A time of self examination
A sacred, special and sobering time
Well worth writing this here rhyme....

Sous
6-11-15

Vertical and horizontal
Inward and outward, up and down
We must cast at his feet our golden crown
As a lotus eater the sun shines through
For our change in the washing machine
And the parking meter
Many seek to be touched by the shadow of Simon Peter
Described in the Odyssey
Who lived in a drugged indolent state
Devoted to pleasure and luxury
Sous in my right front pocket
I am rich in this blessing today
Even while poor in spirit
And I must die in this land
Take heed unto yourselves
Lest ye forget
A heat in the shadow of a cloud
Slow down, you're moving way too fast...
