cornerstone

Cornerstone
6-6-13

The son is set at nought
Where the alabaster by gold is to be bought
To do yet another good work
For the One at God's right hand
Making a miracle inside of me in my affliction
Where all things are possible
To he whom will believe
Where faith comes about
By hearing of the word today
Where the Son is set at naught
Becoming as the head of the corner...

Nourish The Just
6-6-13

My cat makes a toy of my delivery receipt
Of barbeque chicken leftovers
And the promise of absolution and forgiveness
Where I might come to say
O, she is not mine
For she belongs to the God
That gave her to me
Where better habits will be hard to begin
When the wolf you feed indeed will win
Yet to deprive the selfish
And to nourish what is just and right
In the eyes of he whom wants to make a change....

Launch
6-6-13

I don't want to be as the dog
Returning to his vomit
With substance on my mind
Hoping never to go back off my wagon
Loaded with the salt designed to melt the ice
So that many can walk back into this sanctuary
Of the purity I seek
Where it takes three weeks
To launch and embark on a new mission
To find again that which was lost along the way
O, no I don't want to go that way any longer....
