Getting There
9-28-14
O, for most, joy is rare
As one that claims to be afraid to care
I savor the pain in the pulling of a nose hair
Just to realize it for what it is
In that I'm getting there
O, for most this joy is scarce
So may us treasure every moment of peace of mind
Using my zygomaticus major
To but show them who I am
O, be as one to grin and bear it
I'm getting there...
Ode To Abidan
9-28-14
Praying for this treasure in earthly vessels
With myself I yet strive
And with God I wrestle
And I know that I cannot win
In that I'm still living in sin
Wandering in the wilderness
Back to my recycling bin
From Benjamin
Abidan, the son of Gideon
There is much loot to but uncover
In that I find it here and there
Praying for this treasure
In my earthly vessel....
Today's Self-Study
9-28-14
Of joy, gratitude and serenity
Of hope, of pride
Of amusement and inspiration
Awe and of love
We seek this peace
That transcends all understanding
From within, beyond and above
Come envy that serves as its evil twin
And a still small voice that whispers
Such is a battle I will but win
As so the increase of positivity begins
In self-study and another trip to the recycling bin
And I must say that this morning I have found it....
Side Two First
9-28-14
Playing The Wall side two first
As a means to quench today
My fleshly and spiritual thirst
Finding the best amongst the worst
Not well read nor well versed
This is my chazown
Check me out later
I will not need to walk alone
As the crocodile alongside the alligator
As so I play The Wall side one last
As so the cards are played and the die is cast
And I am back home
Back at it O, at last
This is my chazown
In that I need not walk alone
In putting behind me my dark past
Playing the Wall in its entirety
In conducting my fast....
