offing

Offing
7-6-13

Upon the horizon of offings and sandbars
Is a perfect view in the firmament of our stars
Where the green meets the blue
In what is seen of the true me and you
While on the coast we can taste of briny condensation
Of such a blessed dew
Where prosperity is in the offing
And therefore soon to come
Blessed to read again the bible's conclusion
Of such a rattle and hum
Passing the evening with Thom Yorke
To sweeten a palate bitter and quite numb...

Disabuse
7-6-13

Freeing myself from the misconception
To yet disabuse the television  with such static in its reception
Freeing my mind from the illusion at hand
So I can see it clearly and come to understand
Passing a hot and humid evening in rhyme and verse
Seeing this blessing in disguise
That such is no longer my curse
Giving God thanks for my island
Where I have much upon which to yet nurse....

Scholar And Slave
7-8-13

Beautiful information
Is found on the coasts of the Amorites
Where many become as tributary
Yet not completely cast out
Choosing to adorn my face with smiles
As an act of faith
Hoping to obliterate any of such doubt
Where beautiful information
Is for the taking of plunder and spoil
Where the Spirit is to be expressed
By the anointing of the oil....
