The Right To Cry
4-17-05
And looking to the past
Is yet another key to attain
When you want to conduct a study of mammoths and dinosaurs
And peace so will come down in the evening rain
To make up for the time we've wasted in such senseless wars
And it is of a truth that we won't be happy all the time
And it is known through experience that it's alright to feel sad
As so the melancholy euphonious piano playing inspires my rhyme
As for testimony and example of illustrations
We use what seems bad
And when the sun goes down
There is born new hopes in the darkening sky
As dew settles upon the myriad trees on the town
And we have every right to lament and cry.....
This Flight
4-17-05
And so the waters in dark rivers rise
As in deep dreams they will overwhelm and inundate
And so to step in to take a dip would be wise
As you conduct another spiritual search for precious stones and live bait
And on your path to righteousness your borders are extended
And all along the narrow way no man will desire your land
And look to what is to be as another week has ended
And the coffee is twice as sweet
As the bitter turns left on Market Street
As such a passage I come to understand
And I pray that I can be a blessing
And have the boldness to reach out to you
And the stewardess will bring out more salad dressing
As so this flight so takes me on another journey
To seek out all that is true....
