silk-screen

Silk-Screen (Warhol)
2-28-16

O, paintings of silk-screen
Prints of commonplace images and helpful hints
I want to be there more and more
Even when it might cost me something
There comes a Centurian to beseech him
There comes a Rabbi to teach him
That thou tell every man while in great pain
I withdraw from them for my own well being
For the leaders of the pop art movement
Our stencil method where our design is imposed
And the bar is closed
Jesus says, "I will come and heal him"....

On Matthew 8:9
2-28-16

For I am a man under authority
I am not worthy that thou shall come under my roof
As I stand without and quite aloof
For the ink poured through the mesh and paper new and fresh
Onto its printing surface
On the bass Phil Lesh
Coated with a substance impermeable
O, Hearsay, how is your heredity
Having soldiers under me
Yesterday was a wonderful one
And tomorrow will be better
As today is a gift
I say to this man
Go and he goeth
As a city that is compacted together
So are we as brothers and no more as strangers
And today I look for the truth....
