Stand Fast In Liberty
7-14-15
By sacred words such as liberty and freedom
Try to define it drinking the nectar of the gods
Feeling heavenly going down to better my odds
Not ready to live till you're ready to die
Give it another try
Don't depend upon the alibi
Neglect not the gift that is in thee
And tonight let it fly
Let no man despise your youth
But be the example and wear your black shirts
And courdoroys
He doesn't believe in luck
Caught like a deer in the headlights
For apprehension and excitement
Such is exhilaration
Where I meet my lady
Twenty minutes and I'll be out the door
Yet to find what my salvation is for
They take the widow's ox as a pledge
And set the needy back upon the path to higher ground
Stand fast...
Freedom: The Task
7-14-15
God seems indifferent to all of us
I wait for a call in case of a change of plans
Baby, see me through
He might give America a black eye
Ten minutes and I'll be out the door
But I will interject not Why!
The greatest enemy to freedom is ingratitude
You can get me through
For every man there is a spiritual freedom
If he is able to grasp it
Our piece of wood on Calvary
Where all battles are fought
Needing spiritual freedom from moral decay
You'll know exactly what to do
Freedom is an everyday task
In my bag I carry always one more mask
O, be afflicted and live and forgive and forget...
Still Learning English
7-14-15
My inner Jew walks out early this morning and times are tough
It's something new to me in my soul where the love has grew
Whom the Son sets free will be free
Indeed salvation, free
But Jesus paid for it
I want to reach someone today
Spirit as me in a raid for it
I have much more to say
Passionate about going there to make it work
A man never made a weapon he has not used
Come the greatest battle on Calvary's cross
He conquered death, hell and the grave
And has so many more to save
They press out oil within their walls
And take away the sheaves from the hungry
It's time to go
God be with me...
Fragile World
7-14-15
Back again
Two bags of laundry already in
For deep forest green
To have ambition is no sin
Some don't get there because of pride
Some don't make it fearing the cramping of lifestyle
But many will make it by love in a search within, beyond and above
In the first three chapters the fall of man
O, such a fragile world
Sacraments and the pope cannot free you
Where we hope for the hawk to sing with the dove
The greatest battle fought on Calvary's cross
Since times are not hidden from the Almighty
Why do those who know Him see not his days
Back again, I made it by the hair of my chin and I'm clean cut....
Ode To Zephaniah
7-14-15
One hour till my ordeal
I have faith that it will go over well
My life is full of patterns that can scarcely be controlled
See the word cramp as a word study
While Calvary's cross is still yet bloody
For Zephaniah the son of Cushi
In the days of Josiah, king of Judah
Lead them to Christ and they will find much of Buddha
They linger there to live again
O, cut off the remnant of Baal
And don't forget to check again the mail
And cut off the name of cherubims with priests
And they who worship the hosts of heaven
Taking the lower seats at the feasts
Life is hard but God is fair
I hand out my card and let grow out my hair
No! But he would take note of me....
