Recreate

Recreate
7-14-15

Drifting down the alley walls
I heard cathedral bells
I fast in dreams for nights and for days
For the story of the poet and scholar tells
I search Jerusalem  with candles
The Day of the Lord is at hand
To prepare a sacrifice to bid his guests
Some remove landmarks
And some prepare pulpits at county parks
I want to go where I am bidden
To take the widow's ox as a pledge
I can hear the hum of my coffee maker
Enough power to mess with my circuit breaker
Today I shared my faith
Practicing my social skills
It gets me out and about
A noise and cry from the fish gate
And nothing here to hate
To stretch out my hand and tear down
Build it again and to recreate...

On Zephaniah 1:13
7-14-15

Their goods become as booty
And their fruit my spoil
And to partake is my hungry man's duty
Like one of five wise virgins that carry the oil
It is my pleasure to write about it
Going to battle with I forgot what
As one that prefers the dark
I like to wake up when there's no one around
To yet scintillate my spark
Settling upon lees
As rivers run to deeper seas
I put on my fresh batch
To make the room smell good
Because my cat waits for me to come home to do her thing
Their houses are as a desolation
And I rejoice in what I've been through
Howl ye inhabitants of Maktesh
And get her while she's fresh
I shall come forth as gold...

Jog My Memory
7-14-15

Ones own home ought not be his prison cell
Dwelling alone soon to go back out to roam
And God says that I'll do well
In his steps was the new theme
And I went back there last night in a good dream
Hallelujia I made it hungry
All I can think about is pizza and chicken wings
Short on cash, food for thought is both good and bad
It was the best cup of coffee I ever had
When delivered they rebelled
They would return into captivity
Where desire hast swelled
Where freedom becometh as bondage
Quench not the Spirit where there is life left in you
To jog my memory and to look it up again
As sustenance for another fresh awn christened pen
They spend the night naked....

Object Lessons
7-14-15

Going back to golden calf theology
I admired the man with the message
Looking up to him with such a reverence
It is easy to lapse back into this idolatry
But it motivates me to keep returning
Waiting for her call that I'm about to receive right about now
I pray that it will go over well
Amen and amen
The purpose of history
Such is written for our admonition as ensamples
Are for us so we won't make the same mistakes
Our object lesson if you go back into the old habit
Expect his chastening
And I will rejoice when it's all said and done
Upon whom the ends of the world are come
I pray that it goes over well
Amen and amen
They seize flocks violently
And feed on them....

Find Me
7-14-15

Find me on the ancient road
And count on me to crack another code
The earth is blue and green
Walking on the moon such is clearly seen
Ensamples, types and shadows
Of what God wants to show us
Old Testament admonition
Like grass he doth grow us
Our Mosaic age and more emails to send
And the problem with pride
You straighten you out is a full time job
God will like he waters the flowers on the windowsill
Corinthians full of themselves
In a dangerous place of all that is presumptuous
I'm wrong again
And right in that I confess it
O, find me....
