What Happened!
7-1-15
wanting to make a resolution
To change the way I write my poem
Lose the time, love the rhyme
But end up rhyming anyway
O, woe and weal worth the day
Slipping into deep unconsciousness
Walk down to the end of the driveway if you must
And keep on keeping on in spite of disgust
Most people not open to truth
At the well they talk about it
Be tactful, don't break in
They already have their own
I can cope with this
I sometimes get too heavy for my own ears
Let alone my music collection
You can put a seed in the ground
And that's about it
Let's just say it happened at twelve-thirty
What happened!
Scar
7-2-15
My own music wasn't working
So I had to just blow it
Observing on my left arm a scar from somewhere
But at least I have a left arm
According to transition
My pen is my magic charm
According to position
And no set clock radio alarm
As so with us the Philistines fought
And by good warfare we are taught
My inner pacifist disagrees
First nine chapters
Endless genealogies
Names, names and more names
So Saul dies and all of his house together
And they still chase us
All the days of our life
The Philistines as a symbol of strife...
As It Comes To Pass
7-2-15
As it comes to pass on the morrow
I write till it's time to go to lend and borrow
Knowing God's love
Where joy meets up with sorrow
Four dollars for the cause
The price of a cat flea collar
Not wearied about the litter box today
O, set something aside
Having in store for the days when the manna is lacking
Lights out till sunup
A plan of attacking
In my musicology journaling
And pewter blacking
And it comes to pass on the next day
That it didn't need to be a vexed ray
The Philistines come to strip the slain as well
As to arrive to grip and to entertain
As a grasping of this truth
And not in the heavy metal
Is my connection to God
Condoned and justified....
