Shephelah

Shephelah
8-7-15

In broad valleys of the south
Of narrow ways about ones mouth
I guess it doesn't matter
Seen the kids go off to school
And I feel for them
Our tone by minute and rapid variations of pitch
I hold the high note to represent a brother
That has returned to lead them to glory
For our appellation
In all bliss and elation
I'm jaded but still have the will to proceed
God gives me another day of it
According to want and need
For the prophesy of the Davidic kingdom
Write your songs if this is all you have to give
In the lowland of Shephelah
I will live....

I Spare A Loonie
8-7-15

Some got six months
Some got one solid
But as for me I am still free
Appelative relating to the assignment of names
Relating to a common name after all
To be capitalized by his grace a loonie in my pocket
A Canadian dollar to spare
To light the fire of another rocket
In that I would rather not care
You are great in council and mighty in work
I pray that these words will go somewhere
You have made yourself a name
As it is this day
For fish-eating diving birds of northern regions
With a short tail and webbed feet
Yet to set sail on a boat docked on Front Street
For one who is beside himself
I entitle it
The loon in all finesse....

Rose Between Two Thorns
8-7-15

Getting primed up for my blog and post
Hoping for a thousand more hits
For the cause of the Holy Ghost
I share my words for the masses
And at squirrels crossing my path I make my passes
Look how big these stones are
I have spotted them from afar
Knowing to be special
But not something special for greener grasses
What are you trying to say
So says the enemy
A rose between two thorns
I hope to make today count for something
To but revolutionalize reality
One day it will all be torn down
If God gave you power
O, would you use it for him
There's no time to cry
Behold I bring it health and healing...

Look For The Signs
8-7-15

We have a chance to witness
O, mama don't you weep for me
For all things have their purpose
For thorns to prune and trim
And filling my cup back up to the rim
A little bit too sweet this time around
To revolutionalize reality
And to ransack rooms of realism
They look for warning signs of Jesus' return
But these days they haven't been talking about it much
As if it has already taken place
Life is but a dream
In fields left unharvested
They gave of their possessions
O, am I all just talk
In these honest engine confessions
Duty of the believer
Is to use his gift to add to the kingdom
Men will build fields for money
To sign deeds and seal them
And I must say that I feel them....

It's That Time Of Day
8-7-15

It's that time of day
When the sun is too bright to go a blogging
So I wait one hour and return to it
Like lumberjacks a logging
To live in the presence of Jesus
Y2K was underrated
Even for William Miller
Whoever he was
Trying to predict Jesus' return
They give of their own possessions
In the making of brand new professions
So I wait an hour for the sun to rise
Beyond my sensitive and vulnerable line of sight
For the porter and door keeper
God bless those who keep clean the grounds
The weekend is almost officially upon us
Thus saith the Lord who made it
Who formed us to establish it
And fields will be brought into this land
For you and me...
