Specksynder
8-7-15
There's a price for being free
I take the lowroad and it's all me
There's a place you never been
That as sin reigned unto death
Let me reevaluate and catch my breath
To reign through righteousness unto eternal life
By Jesus Christ our Lord
On Monday I go back to my giant
To purchase as much as I can afford
So you I heard singing
While I was chasing dreams
Welcoming the rain to fall any moment now
We can only say that Jesus is Lord but by the Spirit
For syndetic conjunctions
Serving to connect
I see the dark star shine
For I have all the time in the world today
For my specksynder
I skim it to let it all unfold
Go and speak to Zedekiah
And tell him the good news....
On Jeremiah 33:21
8-7-15
Till I came upon this dirty street
I play the Lamb again in its entirety
With lips that slide across each chin
Praise the Lord of hosts for the Lord is good
And his mercy endures forever
Another call from brother John
We just talk about the weather
As he walks along the gorge's edge
Another brother wears upon his hat a pheasant feather
I'm no longer afraid of the bugs that linger
It's easy for me to say this as of now
So that he shall have a son
To reign on his throne
Within the raging water rides the foam
I pray for brother John
To put in another successful shift
And I can wait till Sunday
To get to church my lift....
One Way
8-7-15
And we need not escape from his hand
But surely be taken and delivered
Everyone is entitled
To the way that they believe
And in time all things will be set right
For ceremonies and burnings
For plunders of fresh crops and their learnings
We shall die in peace one day
The former kings whom are before you
If I want John alive
I've got to ditch my fear and accept his call
And at the end of seven years
Let every man set free his Hebrew brother
Who has been sold to him
And who has been bold to him at their pleasure
According to the law of the slaves that choose to serve forever
What shall we say then
Feel the cold from far around
The rushing of the water surrounds me with its sound
There's only one way and that's to write...
Mullion
8-7-15
No one left the key
And no one about it told me
The truth will set us free
And today I am content to taste, to touch and to see
Should we continue in sin so the grace might abound
God forbid, how shall we that are dead to sin live any longer therein
Hiding in your cocoon
Solitude prepares one to face the next day
Know ye not that so many of us baptized into Jesus
Were baptized into his death
"You tell 'em", so says to me the words of encouragement
Of Mullion, of monolith and obelisk
I play another classic compact disc for Baruch the blessed
Jeremiah's companion and scribe will prosper...
Elikam
8-7-15
Already set up is Sunday's offering
I don't count it
I just give it by my own freewill
For Jehoiakim, our Eliakin
All of these names still exist
And are alive somewhere to this day
Waiting for Chisleu to put on my boots
And to soon hang my lights and set up my Christmas tree
In having much to be thankful for
Our Baruch defined as blessed
Jeremiah's companion and scribe
I still don't know how I'm going to deal with the ice and snow
I'm just living for today
I am sure that Jesus will lead the way
Jonadab is the son of Rechab
Shall not lack a man to stand before me forever
Out for a smoke
It's now and never
And therefore I am present
The moment I declare that I'm not
For he that is dead is freed from sin...
