For Myrtle
9-15-15
Accustomed to do evil
Yet to think outside the box and do good
Yet to dwell in peace with the fox
And today join the brotherhood
To hurtle and hurl
For a turtle named Myrtle
And a grey hair squirrel
Don't be shamed of your age
Said a brother to me yesterday
While he was yet in his cage
Cleaning off the grunge from his hub caps
To move with a great speed and a rushing noise
He tells me I need to spend more time with the boys
O, brother, spheres
This flesh and bone and spiritual careers
To thresh but not alone
Therefore I will scatter them as stubble
O Jerusalem, wilt thou be made clean
Accustomed...
Thursday, A No Go
9-15-15
I grieve
Life carries on and on
Thursday sick leave due to a lack of coffee money
I'll be up two hours before the dawn
And I shall give children to be their princes
According to this stagecoach that convinces
For thine abomination upon the hills
It's not good or bad
It is just as it is
It's the empty cage for froth, foam and fizz
Woe and weal unto you Jerusalem
On when small in once, twice and thrice be
They say life carries on and today the strawberry is divine
Almost as an idol well worth waiting in line
By the rod of the rust
And the love in the lust
A vehement desire to know them better...
Phial
9-15-15
In the year that king Uzziah died
The bible scholar said he didn't know but he lied
I see the notes of recognition
I hear the colors while in this condition
High and lifted up
And his train filled the temple
Well being is our birthright
Will we sell it for a fresh cup of Joe
So far no show
And one cried to another
Saying, we are to love one another
Eighteen packs to my name
This should last me about three weeks
O, what a show
It's sweet even if it reeks
For our philosophy
The literary studies of classical scholarship
And historical linguistics
My phial and shallow vessel
It's my call....
