Courtesans are admired in my night visions
Where I rove the hallways
In search of a fetish that serves as my incentive
To love and learn
And at the signal of the hour of two
I rejoice in that I've accepted this part of such devotions
Amorous and conducive
Where God gives every lonely man a helper
To comfort his longing....




Liberal (Not A Dirty Word)

Yet to be gladly admired of artists
Liberal and broad minded
Who stood up behind podiums
To speak from their hearts
And bleed truths that were inspired
By the time it took with ballpoint pens
As I do so today where they are gathered asunder together
In fives and tens
This is what I do
And the day I pass in doing such
Is lived well
When this is what I love to do for God
Even if I reach no one in a physical sense...





I Pray For Them

Obdurate is not something I choose to be
Even unto those guilty of crimes
In that I am foolish to be mulish
Saying my prayers for them as if they were brothers
In the consideration of material
Already made enough to work with
For the entire mellinial reign I have hopes in
Moved by persuasion and yet empathetic
In knowing I have been there too
Praying that these words will go somewhere....

In that there is not comparison
Of one man to the next
As today all I know how to do
Is pour myself onto this page
To see this solitude and silence
In song to serve as my stage
When my councellors visit me
Every twelve hours of continuity
Hidden inside this cool abode...





Be Anxious For Nothing

God says to me be anxious for nothing
As last night in meditation
I needed to ask
So why do I fret upon strings
That utter cacophonous chords
In that in this house there are many idols and lords
I take my chances to proceed with this technique
Where I observe sporting events with my television on mute
As I rejoice to look upon my wristwatch
To see the hour of three soon roll around
In that I wish to receive such promises that God will keep...
