Pulse
2-27-14
The pulse of the spiritual man is his giving it all away
As this much I contribute
Praying to write these compositions all day
Seeking for the Now that is said to be the narrow Way
Leading me to life
Given a sound mind in the face of vexation and dismay
Yet to give and be joyful
In that I have a lot to say
Like a tree planted in fertile soil
Her roots grow deep....
On Job 1:21 (see this)
2-27-14
From going to and fro in the earth
We are yet to discover what this treasure is worth
Cursing not with my lips
O, blessed be the Lord for the day I am born
Where the wilderness is not a bad place
When there is a purpose for my thorn
Blameless and upright
Eschewing my evil ways
As so I persevere in poetry
For the rest of my natural days
From going to and fro in the earth
I find that such tenacity so pays....
On First Corinthians 10:6 (dig this)
2-27-14
Our fathers were as figures
Like shadows and types for our example
Out of the same spiritual rock today I drink
Given a generous ration and sample
Getting my wash done with leisure time abundant and ample
Rocking on to First Corinthians once again
That will be as fodder for my humble pen
Given again a good lawyer and a fair trial
So that I might rest and heal and cry awhile...
