In Every Amen
11-12-15

Accountability makes it hard
So I tell no one my plan
I need to give this junk up anyway
So I do the best that I can
Leaning on a window sill
For when I die on top of the hill
And be brought low
To yet make my kill
God's sheep listen for and hear his voice
They are eager to follow his learning in every Amen in life
He that hear let him hear and no more doubt and fear
Take thee a tile and lay it before thee
And portray upon it the city
Even Jerusalem and we ask how and why!




Money For Tablets

Resisted the urge to buy the new Willie Nelson CD
Need money for tablets on Saturday
I hope that I hang in there
And in need of five new titles
We live with a bold confidence
Of our future with Christ
As sheep at the One Gate we enter in
By Jesus laying his life down for the flock
No one will snatch me out of his hand
Not even windows filled with frost
We lose the option to live in doubt and fear
I don't need to go out and smoke
It's warm in here as grace empowers one
To live life how God wants it
One shepherd, one flock
One stream, one prominent rock...

Create some friction
For one gets stronger in resistance
Beat your addiction
Live above such a passive existence
To change ones thinking
The decaf I'll be drinking
Jesus has got this
The bible will mess with your theology
As you almost cannot believe
How good it is as of here now and today
Eternal life begins now
Now is the appointed time
Not to go to heaven
But to willingly do the right thing
As my six becomes as seven
Creating a moment when we need a change of shirt
Taking my chances in that I might get hurt
Create some friction....
