Samothrace
10-6-15
First convert of Europe, Lydia
So close to midnight
I will find a way in Jesus today into Iconium
Crossing the Agean into Samothrace wearing leather and lace
His concubines no longer in trace
Absolved and redeemed by God's grace
Deviating from the decrees to keep
And yes, tonight I will get my sleep
The glory yet to be is not to be compared
To the suffering of this present time
So temporal as prayer is customarily made
Yesterday, my blue moon
Noonday the scene of someday
In the second year of Darius
It seems that the sun always shines
And we have been quite fortunate
The Lord at times is pleased with our fathers
Am I alive!
On Acts 16:13 (read this chapter)
10-6-15
Encouragement and exhortation
Is to be made everywhere you walk today
Make my paths straight
I know in you it all works out
It seems good to Silas to remain there
O, come over to Macedonia to lend a hand
And no more of such fear
When you come to understand
A man on a red horse speckled in white
Thank you and goodnight
These are they whom the Lord sent
To walk to and fro through the earth
As he is sore displeased with the heathen that are at ease
We sit down and speak to the women we meet there....
