I saw you

I Saw You
8-21-14

I saw you buried in the sand
I saw today something new in hopes to understand
As the wisdom of the world is as foolishness
Wrought by ones left hand
O, let no one boast in men
Nor in tuna fish canned
Of mere theologians and rival founders and sects
We are all as One
Ready for what's coming next
O, let a man so consider us as servants and stewards
Made clear, right here in the text
And you don't know me anything
In being but vexed....

So Am I
8-21-14

Of sensual, of spiritual and of carnal
I question O, what am I today
Taking in one symphony
I get down on my knees and pray
Come this faithful service to but portray
As examined and as judged
As accepted but yet much begrudged
By the temple, by the dividing and by the body
We are as Christ's and all is ours
Moreover it is required that we are found faithful
And as tall as those leaning towers by woven weft
And brothers bereft
Of sensual, of spiritual
Of carnal, so am I
O, so am I....

Apostles Last
8-21-14

Someone has to take the blame
As such a someone would be today I
The Word and name ready any moment you lose it all again
But in the meantime I plow on through these epistles
With my blue and humble pen
O, who made you to but differ
In the where and when
O, ye are already full
With rhymes threescore and ten
To but display us Apostles last
To desecrate the winner in valleys vast
Made as a spectacle
Told that we will not stand fast
But we know that indeed we will...
