yarmulke

Yarmulke
6-22-15

Clad in skullcap and yarmulke
My inner Jew agrees
I wish him well as he sets off on another adventure
Yet to undeceive and free from all illusion
If such a thing could be done
Nothing new under the sun
O, you Jade, bless you too
Meaning today is made where we leave behind our rue
No longer deprecatory
No more belittling
It all adds up
It all works out
No more diminishing in value
As sincerity is what it's all about
Clad in skullcap for my sip and sup
And my lot and hap....

Lightly Smoked
6-22-15

Bloaters, herring and mackerel lightly smoked
Packed like sardines
It was the venue and I was stoked
He appointed the moon for seasons
And these are my spiritual vitamins
For a higher purpose in God's reasons
The cliffs are a refuge for the rock
Badgers that feed on such commodities
And all is well with my soul
Tonight with cinnamon life cereal in my bowl
And if this is all I do
Then indeed I have fulfilled my every dream and goal
For bloaters of the great lakes
A little bit of love is all that it takes....

A Sermon Ineffable
6-22-15

The devil says I'm just using the bible
For my own pursuits
If indeed I ought to explain such in such a way as this
O, Lord how manifold are thy works
Oil to make his face shine
Salt to season the meat and make it fit for the feast
In hopes of tomorrow to see the sun come up in the east
Now that the days grow shorter
I have new hope even when I get at the end of my rope
Trying to sink, I float
Too much, I think
It seems we're all in the same boat
A sermon ineffable
Where one cannot separate
The sacred from the secular....

As I Live
6-23-15

Shoddy and cheesy
My first cigarette
Due to needing to use the toilet
My assignments are good company
He that regard the day regard it to the Lord
O, my grig
O, my gree
Can we at last be set free
For none of us lives to himself
Nor dies likewise
Cut down to size
Still buying into Satan's lies
And why doth thou judge thy brother
We all come to look for America
I travel with my mother
For it is written
As I live
It is better to give...
