ragtop

Ragtop
10-16-15

Inwardly they are ravening wolves
Ye shall know them by their fruits
Do men gather grapes of thorns or figs
Along the Reese I go fishing
Expecting miracles and not in vain so wishing
Hide from your big brother's axe
For a rope and a rod
With our trust today in God
Make me a blessing today to everyone
Making love in our ragtop
Such a convertible automobile
That transcends the way one might feel
Little by little the sun comes up on these words...

Frontiersman
10-16-15

In the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice
For the transcontinental
Our spawning and crossing
Fishing along the river Platte
Formed by the flowing of our consciousness
A frontiersman doth but prosper
Living on our international border
On regions just beyond
And at the edge of our settled area of commerce
Wherefore by their fruits
You shall know them
Were they really sad for me
And then I will profess
All that I must confess
I build my house upon a rock
As a credit to the flock
The street will be built again
Even in troublesome times....

If Thou Wilt
10-16-15

No plans today save just this
Lighter than an eiderdown
And the rain descended
And the floods came
And the winds blew in a figurative sense
O, stay in the present tense
You're a whole lot of music to me
And great was the fall of such
A house upon which the elements had their effect
For he taught them as one having authority
And not as the Scribes
And when he was come down from the mountain
Great multitudes followed him
Lord, if thou wilt
Thou can make me clean.....
