dry shod

As Dry Shod
2-2-18

I don't care too much for the groundhog's shadow
For time it what it is, just time and nothing more
As to dwell in Goshen knowing God has given us this emotion
Gazing back to the streets and sidewalks
Given the good and bad of the land
I want to give my last five dollars on Sunday
Restless and famished for its distinction of our biogeography
For three hundred pieces of silver where I still dig the poison
And we ask ourselves
Why are we still subject to such....

Die To Self
2-2-18

As to all upon our shoulders and tell a lie
Concerning boulders
I wish him well on his way
O, my bad agency
Where Joseph gives us bandwagons
In such a province as this to Beer-Sheba
To offer sacrifice as she said her name was not nice
There I make of thee a great nation
Upon Edom and Moab in our honkey-tonk lagoon
Come on now
You must know where the ocean ends
Not as the shore delving into the opposites
Where sames attract
See that you fall not by the way
And lady across my big brass bed
But don't let it go to your head
To die to self...

On Second Nephi 21:4
2-2-18

Soon to fold slacks and sweatshirts
As to judge the righteous
Why run any longer where the haughty will be humbled
Of forest with iron and brass behind crude walls
For I long to hold you in all mine holy mountain
In our own refreshing fountain
From Assyria even unto Egypt to gather provisions
At the chime of ten
Death is not the end
For ten asses laden
Carrying goods of all abundance
Fear not to go there today
As to smite the earth with the tongue of His mouth
Our shelter!

Back In Rameses
2-2-18

By our corn, bread and meat
We like to call it our easy street
Where green strikes back before we know it
As to make a box of no such consequence
Where God doesn't make sense
Back in Rameses sailing five of the seven seas
We are as shepherds
The abomination to Egyptians
But pure in His Spirit today and tomorrow
And always for money faileth
And there is nothing left save the blessing in giving it all away
Sometime today regaining strength by reason of abundance
Back in Rameses.....
