Broke But Rich
2-14-18
Cannot trust God till you know Him better
Bound to rise up again for another plate
Surrender not a passive resignation
Surrender not for cowards or doormats
As we accept our humility
Doing it again this afternoon
When I can always change my patterns
Given my marching orders for another good trip
Then Job arose and tore his clothes and rent his mantle
Be ye the scholar too and "keep reading", my uncle used to say
Giving me my first bible
If faith were a place
It would be right here and now.....
Ford The River
2-14-18
I love you guys but I still say no to the congregation
But yes to Jesus as it flows through my every vein
Nevertheless the word we often use ought to be to life them up
Always a need for moving on
Plaigerizing myself left with a black pen and no such blue
For almost a year now yet to Ford the river
For beautiful words such as love in action
Again there is a day where our sons bring us water
As arrows in the quiver
God have me to do well fa ciao carina
It's all the same...
As To Find My Niche
2-14-18
Satan came along and lost at his own game
I call upon the name for tomorrow to do the same
For consolation in this realization that God always wins our battles
In the long haul back to the shopping mall to get a sub or two
With my gift card and face up to what is yet to be
Filling up the motor home with sweets
I have not yet apprehended
Failing another day in dwelling coming on strong
We don't stay long
Naked I return again thither
Yet to be exhumed for a trip of wonder
Without charity I am nothing...
Time To Go (God Bless)
2-14-18
One more poem before I go
Jesus let me know
That I still have room to grow
And I tasted it and it was good
For the English broadcast and the week's forecast
As to conduct such a search for wisdom
Taken in a hundred other ways about it
Looking for an A.W. Tozer
We accept it intellectually but not emotionally
And this much I want to change
Time to walk on over and greet someone
Surrender not for cowards or doormats
In no need to be in charge
Not edging God out this time
Open wide...
