Ode Of Popular Truth
2-11-18

Trouble makes one to turn to the needle of rebirth
As to spread quickly to ones date
But not for hate
I bear this testimony
To keep on rocking and begin again
Fitting hand in glove for popular talk of the excursion
Repentance not a plan of misery in the being of happy today
By undeffered seasons and pockets full of sand
Where the beach comber can at last understand
Yet a great way off in inheritance of the land
Hear the mighty engines roar
Taking a few steps back to the swine....

Made It Through Again
2-11-18

It is said we ought to take pride
But also said that we ought not
Where we fought now like a bandit down the highway
In our way fearing that lest ye repent
You'll end up in the ditch
Gypsy down the highway
Get a clean shave and make that switch
When we are a great way off
Singing an old Lightfoot classic to feel alright
To put ones rebellious pain behind
And today keep Jesus in mind requiring persistence
Where I lack accountability in grand preparations
Our imposing dignitary and another good one
God has me to see it all up clear....

Wagons And Chariots
2-11-18

Our preacher says to tell them about Jesus
And they are hard to resist
Like a tangle with a twist and a blue thread around my wrist
Reconciled through the atonement by the assembly of tribes and clans
In making other plans avenging the passengers
Once you've experienced the joy in our long narrative
You will want to come back
As to have as much as I did before
I can always change the rut I am in
And take another higher road in the eternal
Every day we find another new way
For less comely parts we have much to say.....

God Have Me To Just Be
2-11-18

God have me today again to bear the blues
So I can be apt to hear of your good news
As to view up closer our questionaire
Towering by the cliff love dangles by a thread
God have me to get on board and make it back safe
Not just to check off a block in all divine enablements
I will joy always in this deliverance
Nothing more enduring than salvation
Where you are out of sight
God don't leave me here stranded
In that day the song will be all we can hear
And more of which to see
O, most upright
Just be....
