Phil did see his shadow
But I don't believe that a groundhog can live that long
Testing my fax machine
As the lion will eat straw like the ox
And Phil learns to love his neighbor the fox
Of character and extent for by my own words
That seem to be another meaning of repent
O, greet the newcomer
As I play by the cobra's hole
Calling "Your move"
O, what in essence can this mean
To those who seek
Have a peak on a new day not bleak
As to gratify at such remark.....

Feeling at home at once I go there
To stay the weekend
And back in Mother's company
Returning to my beloved books
For posterity and fishhooks
All good for another week
When it is answers I seek
On the next leg of my journey
As weaned children reach out for the viper's den
Endowed with freewill energetic
It's a glory the way I make myself lather up again
And hasten back out to take up my pen
In that damp cellar silver dollars ten....
