Talmai

Talmai
2-4-18

Scourged and shattered
In a place where it mattered
And skins of Arabian snaredrums
Time to turn it over again
By the sides of the north
Upon the mountain of the congregation
Making our bags of change
At five on the nose I rearrange
As Peter plays the flute for Zachariah
Knowing Elizabeth as one to know his similarities
As to the brook of Eschol greeting Talmai
And tonight the big game
Go Eagles!

Ahiman
2-4-18

For all daughters of engineers
We face our fears on the final fateful night
Of His mission to but die as a criminal
Get out your knives and try to whittle the stick
Of last night's crazy dreams
Where the desperate plan seems impossible
As I ascend above to heights
And delve into the depths
In that war is as well part of the plan
Greeting Ahiman in valley and brook
For the possession of the bittern
O, beautiful bird be not bashful
Where all seems lost....

On Numbers 13:28
2-4-18

At my own cluster of grapes
I think about drawing the drapes
But I want to see the sun come up upon his grace
Loving my lammagier only the ossifrage is ostensible
Of feathers bristlelike just in time for the Dead Sea cosmopolitan
For prejudices and interests common
In all that like to see worldly and sophisticated
Howl, O gate and cry, O city
Broad in outlook
He had a lot to say
As the hold their hands over their ears
Seeing those of Anak stand around us....

Fifteen Dollars A Week
2-4-18

For Jebusites in the mountains
Our Amorites drinking from forever flowing fountains
And our Canaanites by the sea
And what ever works for me
As to be shown the fruit of the land
And by our words today we come to understand
She's costing me fifteen dollars a week
As scattered and scourged is the severity of sovereignty
In bias and attachments evil report
And men of great stature
Soon ready to rock and roll
In our own sight as grasshoppers
Where our works are of darkness.....
