1-11-14

Covered
12-30-13

Even cuckoldry and harlotry is justified
And juxtaposed
By the contrast of a book opened again
In that it is closed
Where the poet chooses to get back on track
To be situated and superimposed
Still on my fast for no particular reason
Being one to simplify this changing season
By God's grace where all is covered
While in dark corners
More truth is discovered...

Domesticated
12-30-13

Of my gallinacios pheasant
Is a feeding quote euphonious and pleasant
By that which is vexing
And somehow galling
Of the morning news
Just as necessary as it is appalling
As by my galinacious quail
I partake in God's love that will not fail
Taking the meat in small bites
While upon deeper waters I set sail
By my gallinaceous grouse
Knowledge today will serve as my spouse...

On Hebrews 6:19
12-30-13

To have the hope as an anchor tom one's soul
To dig my way out of another deep and dark hole
To transmit my prayer toward the north pole
Interceding for Santa Clause
And his work in times between
Of a hope sure and steadfast
And a faith taken up that does last
Like a day when the flag flies half mast
According to what one hast
Befriending the ghost of Christmas past
Eating nothing today and still having a blast
To have the hope
To be as the anchor to one's soul....

On Hebrews 7:11
12-31-13

Not to be called after the order of Aaron
Not, futile, not idle, not barren
Potent and fertile
Thinking about my sister Karen
No longer under Levitical priesthood
But now going by the book and its grace
Moving onto chapter nine
Where I seemed to have lost my place
Where I scribble these words
For the sake of me
In narcissistic pursuits
And pictures of myself
According to what I can see
Bringing in the new year
With words hot off the press
Bearing with myself and this beautiful mess
Being one to turn back
Revert and regress....

Priest
12-31-13

Continually to doth abide the priest
Being one to go hungry and naked at the feast
Bringing the west into my east
Messing with my leaven
In seeing to rise my yeast
Feeling like the Grinch
In carving the roast beast
I am what I am by the grace
Of he whom is everlasting
Without all contradiction
The less is blessed of the better
Where giving life is the Spirit
And killing so is the letter....

God Is One
12-31-13

It is evident
That our Lord sprang out of Judah
Where indeed I believe
That he won't pick fights with Buddha
Where all are as one
And we are all of one bread
Chillin' with Dylan
That teams up with Grateful Dead
Where it is evident that our Lord is one
On another clear and blue day
Where clouds try to sheathe the sun
It is evident that God's love never fails
Capturing the breeze
That doth fill with wind our sails
Yeah, it is evident...

New Law
12-31-13

After the similitude of Melchisedec
Doth arise another priest
Not made after the carnal commandment
Sitting in low places
At my new years feast
Killing a half dozen chickens
That I break out a little later on
Made after endless life
That begins one hour before the dawn
By the disannulling of the commandment
Grace takes the podium
To recite such poems of the hew haw
Wherein I prefer to have my vegetables raw...

News
12-31-13

Shakespeare is in the alley
With his pointed shoes
Where the good book is where I choose to get my good news
Where the law makes nothing perfect
But the bringing in of another hope did
In remembrance of my day job
Where I would pull out my two ton skid
I must say it was insane
And I was a tough apprentice like a kid
Drinking coffee all day
Like I just don't care
For the priests to be made without an oath
In that I mask or manage
Or a little bit of both...

Wish
12-31-13

On this last day of the year
My lucky cigarette wish is to keep my resolution
To give up my fear
Seemingly a tall order
By the faith in all I choose to hear
As God's word doth not come back void or vain
Where my aim is to renounce
The places where it gets insane
On this last day of thirteen
I mean to cleanse my spleen
And get on with the good stuff...

Surety
12-31-13

Jesus was made a surety of a better testament
Where the Comforter is a certainty
That covered and paid in full
Is our cable bill and rent
Of priests made without an oath
Being one to turn around and repent
Going before for the weakness
Of which cause that into the world we are sent
Two by two for me and you
With something to do
In our tabernacle and our tent
Jesus was made a surety
Upon all margins
Where the poet doth choose to yet indent...

Witness
12-31-13

My conscience doth bear witness
Of all continual sorrow in my heart
To be one to choose my joy in tomorrow
With the promise of my making of a new start
Scribbling these lyrics
Having another cup of coffee
In declaring thou art
Loving the old fashioned language
But not claiming to be getting smart
In that my conscience doth bear witness
In the holy Spirit
That fills my flesh with the quickening...

On Romans 9:4
12-31-13

O, who are the Israelites
To whom pertain an adoption
Opening my mind to newfangled knowledge
Where ignorance is no longer an option
By the covenants and their glory
To zero in on his promises
And be one to tell his story
By his service and giving of the law
Where I prefer my turnips and rutabagas raw
To yet assist my cessation
Of a thing that ought not be
O, who are the Israelites
But a type of you and me...

Artifice
12-31-13

Yet to purge
By my demiurge
And intercede for those that know their power surge
Paying my price of my artifice
Being one to be both naughty and nice
Like a firework
By the dropping of our white rose
In our celebration
In that our one God knows
Of stratagem and ingenuity
Where the changing of the times
Doth keep one on his toes
As blessed will be all inventors
Quoting Scripture
To keep my clean nose...

Unchangeable Priesthood
12-31-13

Of our many priests
Not suffered to continue by reason of death
Today I attend all of my feasts
To be nurtured in taking my deep breath
Seeing an unchangeable priesthood
Such a man doth continue
Forever without the aid of crystal meth
Delving deep into the history of the third son
To be named as Seth
And today the coffee is just as strong
To yet suffice
For its equivalent
Where he is able to save them to the uttermost
Given this day of leisure to begin another post...
