Crony
12-31-13
In my cronyism and logrolling
It is my nature to pick favorites
By bells a tolling
Getting my fix upon my percolation
And my smoke
Intent that in quite soon
I might go broke
By the cronyism and logrolling
I say hello to my brother
Who has passed on
As if he still were here
Where my resolution
Is to give up my fretting
And my fear
And to gain my faith
That comes in the things I hear...
On Romans 9:5
12-31-13
Christ comes
Whom is over all
The eternal blessed God, Amen
Mentioning him in spite of those
Who don't want to hear about it
By way of my humble pen
Not to set the cart before the horse
According to where and when
Where the who is indeed as me
To hold my breath and count to ten
Trying anything once
Here and there and to and fro
By my sobriety
Christ comes
Whom is over all
The eternal blessed God, Amen...
Been There, Done That
12-31-13
The law made men high priests
With infirmity to but embrace
According to the word of the oath
That it is by his brace
Chillin' with Dylan once again
Doing my all-dayer
Being as an actor and player
Sitting in the penalty bench
By my own freewill
Writing these lyrics for good and ill
Made as the son who is consecrated
Feeling for those
That feel as if they were hated
I have been there
Ever since I had been in God created...
Creation
12-31-13
For the grampus, the dolphin and the killer whale
We consider all creation
Where God's love will not fail
Being one to yet eviscerate the bird
Putting her in the oven for ones Christmas feast
By no means absurd
While of things spoken
This is the sum
By my lucid dream of ordering up a Coke with rum
Being as the high priest
Set upon the right hand
Like an illustration to yet grasp
By which the scholar can come to understand
In these deep seas
Where pirates set sail
In search for plunder...
Seed
12-31-13
The children of the promise
Are counted as the seed
Where I work this craftiness
According to the need
Quoting the Scripture
And keeping them guessing
Being the witness to those
That smoke their weed
He is not heavy
He is my brother
By my recollection
Of stocking bird feed
By the children of promise
By which Sarah doth conceive
Where all things are possible
To he that doth believe...
...to my brother, O-
Day Job Daydream
12-31-13
If knowledge doth come to nought
Lunchmeat in shambles is specially bought
According to the avarice
That every restless consumer is taught
Commended in what is written
On the day job at the pet store
Where by a rat I am bitten
With stories to tell
Of ones taste and smell
Of heaven and hell
Where I am again as smitten
So that they whom doth bear fruit are purged
So that they might bear yet more...

Twenty more soldiers
Enlisted into an army
According to how another idle poet hath existed
O, what shall we say then
Is there unrighteousness with God
O, God forbid
In such a warfare to be justified
According to the works in stories
Of Billy the kid
Chillin' with Dylan
In my crib over herbal tea and smoke
Not to be one to resist or revoke
By these twenty soldiers enlisted
As it is of him that wills...
this poem refers to my pens...
On Romans 9:21
12-31-13
The potter hath power over the clay
Where ones faith is more than come what may
And such a vessel does not say
O, why have you made me this way
By my new material
That I write here all day
Dwelling in my pajamas
Of my apparel both poor and gay
Therefore he hath mercy
On whom he wills
With time today to bide
In the hours he kills
As he whom he wills he hardens
According to the coldness
Of eastward window sills...
At The Chime Of Eleven
12-31-13
In my mind a hundred times
My ego said I was a goner
As so one vessel was made of glory
And another of dishonor
Where served is my day's first cup
Of my herbal tea
Where in my mind a thousand times
I claim to be one that does not quite see
Making known the riches of his glory
On vessels of mercy
According to all that lies within the real me
Yet such an ego is not my true identity...
Getting On With It
12-31-13
As the sands of the sea
As the stars of heaven
So will our children be
Getting on with it
By ones sunshiny hour of eleven
For the multitudes
Of strange and foreign foods
As the sands of the sea
Such children will be as me
A remnant will be saved
According to the truth
That doth set us free
As he finishes his work
To cut it short in righteousness
As deep so grow the roots of my tree...
Absence Of Presence
12-31-13
Laying in Zion a stumbling stone
And a rock of offense
Keeping all bible scholars in suspense
In that I need not attend a feast
That doth cease to make sense
All by my lonesome and happy in such
With joy abundant and immense
Meandering in my memory
Of my main man
That has taught me much
About letting it fly
Keeping such a presence close by
And a hope to meet him again
Someday in my clear blue sky....
I Made It Again
12-31-13
Whomsoever that believes on him
Will not be put to shame
And whomsoever that refuses
Will be just as swell be welcome in the word and name
In that some believe
That all of us will make our way there
That is here and now
Paying for all utterance
And for the know how
Moving onto chapter ten
To be as fodder for my pen
Abundant in milk
Today from ones faithful cow
Just so I can say
That I made it again....
Seed Part II
12-31-13
In Tostidos, Doritos and Cheetos
I get my marijuana munchies later on
By this new years eve solitary feast
With my friend in my head
To be well fed
And to be both alive and dead
Where all has been done and said
Clad in Christmas pajamas
I have received as a gift from Mother
Whom still loves me unconditionally
No matter how much I smoke
Peart, lively, cheerful and brisk
Putting on another Bob Dylan disc
Glad to be one to take such a risk
By necessities of want and need
In being one to yet sow the seed...
