My latest work

Point
12-29-13

By the compass and its rhumb
I can see the light
And no longer am as numb
Pointing me in the right direction
In that I would rather be blind, deaf and dumb
Weathering the storms
In such a weathervane
Along to the lyrics
O, I'll take the rain
Getting a whiff of my avolition
In journaling insane
Where the second death has no power
Over my triumph over my happy hour
By the compass and its rhumb
I get the point of a chord
Yet to fret and strum....

Refreshed
12-29-13

The wolf and the lamb will lie down together
Where skeptic poets will talk about the weather
By taking up my quill and feather
Getting not too far today
In my post and blog
Being one to beat the grog
Refreshed in unadulterated eggnog
Basking in the brink
Sitting like a lump on a log
Where one's own mote
Is in the eye of the scapegoat
And it's all good
Now that I have met my maker halfway....

On Michah 5:11
12-29-13

Casting down all of my strongholds
Tearing down all of these walls
Cast in the heat of meager molds
Trying to recreate my happy place
When I was on my way to Niagra Falls
Being as the pastor of these sheepfolds
In this darkest day
In that the sun sets sooner
And I have balls
This is my new material
For the cause of souls
Reading 5the back of the book
That says, Amen
By all longitudes
Of north and south poles
And the doldrums in between....

Posted
12-29-13

May we handle the situation with kid gloves
Pulling all punches
Where hawks will mingle with doves
Being one to push the envelope
Where one struggles and shoves
On this darkest day
Of my post Christmas blog
Keeping all posted like a red light
To yet illuminate through the fog
Yet to be refined
Where once again I beat the grog
O, may we handle the situation with kid gloves
Pulling all punches on this darkest day
Dealing with all tactfulness
Of free lunches
But until then
I will pray...

Pluck
12-29-13

Plucking off all groves and shrines
By the Kidush over various and divers sweet wines
Disregarding all manifested and crystal clear wonders and signs
While thou will have no more soothsayers
To connect the dots
Of even and odd rays and lines
In that everything is beautiful
Amongst spruces, firs and pines
Running again on empty
Taking no rest to weary eyes
Plucking up all groves
To yet share our faith
Contrary to all lies...

Plead
12-29-13
\
Arise ye and contend
To plead one's case
And love unto the very end
Tripped not up in my right boot lace
Arise and contend
Allowing the hills to head thy voice
O, hear ye mountains
In that it is our conscious choice
To arise and yet contend
And to boast and to rejoice
That we can come to know thine righteousness
That comes about by hearing
As this word doth not come back as void
Arise, ye and contend...

Hear
12-29-13

Hear the Lord's controversy
O, all ye mountains
Observe the dispute
Of cold water that floweth from fountains
Hear, O the Lord's controversy
By the Way that is the path and the light
Being one to go, give and pray
Hear, ye O mountains
To what the Spirit has to say
And observe, describe and participate these empty spaces
See O, ye foolish
According to God's good graces....

Swill
12-29-13

of swill and of swine
Of kill and of kine
Holding out for something sweeter
Along the lines of water and wine
In this darkest day
Where the sun does not come up in the east
Of blessing and of beast
Amongst yours yet in the yeast
Swallowing this morning
That which cannot be described
Of kitchen refuse and of waste
By which we cease to make haste
Soon to make my transition
In justification and juxtaposition
And the completing of our mission...

On Ephesians 1:7
12-29-13

In Him we have redemption
And have been made whole
Wagering my bottom's dollar
Putting on the line my soul
And we have forgiveness through his blood
Like a snowman with his carrot nose of coal
In that I reek to my high heavens
In the depths of these bowels of mercies
In that in Him we have redemption
In all prudence and wisdom
By my senseless pastime
Forgiven by his grace
In Him we have redemption....

Woah
12-29-13

In astonishment and of sorrow
By ones woe and weal
To yet lend and borrow
In our hopes in a brighter tomorrow
Of deeper emotions to taste of
Yet in the shadow of all rue and regret
In astonishment and sorrow
In a need to be yet progressive and tolerant
Yet they are not of we
In astonishment and in sorrow
The truth doth set us free...

Pulse
12-29-13

Proving them with pulse
O, read it and weep
Testing them with produce
In delving into the deep
Being not one to be defiled
With the king's meat
Taking no thought
Of what to wear or what to eat
Going without sleep for days
Assuming my position in a lower seat
Humbling myself in being in for a treat
Where an empty ashtray
Is a sign of happy lungs
Down on the corner of Mount Zion Road
And Market Street....
