an even place

An Even Place
2-17-16

Four in the morning
Good Lord, have mercy
For the second time I know charity
O, vindicate me as my wristwatch chimes
I would have paid off the taxi driver with dimes
Back to my battle of words
Shack for my cattle and birds
Thou be like a watered garden
And like springing water
Given all God's pardon to bring gifts for our daughter
Namely the one with the brown eyes
I believe it is getting better even so
Whose waters fail not
My foot stands in an even place...

More so when they scatter my ashes
I'm in you
She says she has her hot flashes
And it's nothing new
For our blind horses over the hill
To coerce and compel by the verse by the smell
The Lord's hand is not shortened
That it cannot save
None call for justice
Not even my passed on Uncle Dave
Nor any plead for truth
All for a clean shave
Not doing thine own ways
I'm making sense today of what I said
Blind horses over the hill
We conceive mischief
It is our nature....
