hasten

Hasten!
3-15-16

To hasten and to pant
O, look to the ant
Having no overseer
With no words to chant
Tonight I am not the victim
As wisdom cannot satisfy
I said of laughter, "O, madness"
Time to watch and pray
Until they call a doctor
Well, a teacher of the law
Making a subdued dash for it up at three
God has me up for a reason
I might write something important
I'm brave and bold
I roll a seven
I carry that weight upon my shoulders
search me, O Lord
Making myself water pools
From which to water the growing trees
Of the grove, hasten!

Looking For Marjorie
3-15-16

Wisdom is better than folly
But both have an end
Knowledge brings about the melancholy
And I have thirty-two dollars left to spend
I buy a ream of printing paper
For letters yet to send
A showdown for evidence
Reaching out in that we have much to lend
But as touching brotherly love
You know you are to love one another
And indeed you do it to all brethren in Macedonia
Seeking out Rawlings and his novel "The Yearning"
Literature for the yearning
How does the wise man die?
As the fool!
