as babes

Aren't We All (As Babes)
3-14-16

Coming from the north as golden splendor
Killing some brain cells at the Doctor Bob vendor
A quarter a can
Making me the main man
Into a pasture that looks like a path
Who determined its measurements
Who is this that darkens counsel
Having climbing up from the abyss
Sacrifice was the core
First Peter written in sixty AD
As newborn babes
We desire the sincere milk
A million dreams tall
Clad in cotton and silk
So it's back to work
Ye, as lively stones
All verses inexhaustible
With infatigeable wings
O, babe, naïve
To wait on him is to trust....

On Job 38:8
3-14-16

To hit the moon and miss the sun
Cloudy today
Appreciating noon
I stick to my gun
Why do you trade heaven
For all of these ugly things
Sometimes it might seem meaningless
But still you get something out of it
I pray for another successful trip
Amen and amen and halelujiah
Yes, I'm a freak for Jesus
He suffers leaving us an example to follow in his steps
Given today a message of faith to get the job done
When such bursts forth issued from the womb...
