Believers take such a passage to be a true story
Where it is written that such is the definition of the allegory
A paradox of what it might mean in the English language
As we suppose that life on earth is much like purgatory
A philosophy I have obtained of my crestfallen days
Hoping to change my way of thinking and find new ways
This will be an opportunity for change
And it might provide me with new things to think about
As I am put through a sieve to come out more refined....




Of When It Subsides

Praying without ceasing
For God to rebuke this common cold
Rejoicing evermore
No matter how bad it might feel
It's not so common anymore
Until my coughing spell subsides
And then it is easy to say my hallelijiahs
A word that for so long I haven't known how to spell
Where Jesus will fight against the gates of hell
Giving myself one more sweet hour before I retire
As it is said that one can amend from the life of being a liar
But he won't be able to be cured of his alcohol
I ought to take it one day at a time....





Ode Of When I Was In The Game

I'll make my mistakes so that later I might get busy in revisions
Where inevitable are offences, strife and divisions
So I think about balloons to remind me of a passed on brother and his son
I never utter imprecations about such imperfections
They used to take me to McDonalds so that I would be late for church
It was a whole lot of laughter restrained and bottled up
For my sense of humor was wet like wood unfit to burn in the fire
So I have forgiven all of such shenanagins
Easy to say this when in my own personal space....





In Sobriety And Celibacy

Seems like the song, "Shock The Monkey"
Is an invitation to play around
God forbid if it should become a command
We don't want all of this going on in our heads
If we plan to go back to the work world
As that which I should will turn out to be our omission
As I must exclaim that there needs to be a better mission
I haven't gone there for weeks
But I still seem to be doing pretty good...
