Grouse
7-3-13
Of gallinaceous pheasants and grouses
Are my fantasies of such imaginary spouses
Met in the lucid dreams
Where I learn how to become aware
That what I see before me
Is what I can choose to behold
To incline an ear
Where by hearing comes my faith
And by seeing such believing....
Privilege
7-3-13
Seminarians and librarians will yet prosper
In the benedictions that come by way of our freedom
And privilege to read all about it
Yet choosing today to stay home and watch the rain
To play Radiohead archives to inspire new material
For another session of subtility
For seminarians and librarians
I ask a blessing upon...
Brae
7-3-13
Upon my braes and hillsides
Yet to congregate are all of such herds, flocks and prides
saying my blessings upon all that traverse to and fro
Out front upon my braes and high places
For the jumpers pulling off a new stunt
Bearing the weight and burden of these sad songs
That treat my ear to rich chocolate
In the form of sound in its decadence...
Moil
7-3-13
Yet to drudge, to whirl and moil
Making the best of moist and fertile soil
On the banks of rivers
Where there is much trade
Of brass, wheat and choice oil
Wondering where I got such words of wisdom
Defined as the knowledge applied to life
This will be my only agenda today
Apart from just making my way through....
