More Of Me

Looking ugly in my looking glass
For in myself as I am I find it appealing
To see the acceptance of what God made me
Is quite true to myself in its healing
Going through my metamorphosis from season to season
I grew out a full beard with no shame
And when it comes to spelling
I can be proud of my five letter name
The same number as the name Jesus
Somehow I hold these glories
So that I might step out to tell all of my stories
Reward just for being who I am....

Yet to discover newfound hues of vermillion and carnelian
To learn how to mix the paints for our further work
Everything done for God will last
When we take the best parts with us of our past
We are not required to forget
So we keep it is our mind
Even the things we might regret
These things made me who I am today
As today I live on nothing but coffee and cold water
Knowing I took my vitamin when I woke up
I wake up too late
But at least I am awake and alive
On another beautiful day....
