Quokka
12-27-15
Times were tough when love was not enough
In latitude of lacked space
From the attitude of gratitude in God's grace
And freedom from ordinary restraints
As to promise ones spiritual growth
By means of fermentation
O, flee out of the midst
The wave rushes over me
And I stand back up to taste its salinity
Because of our Quokka on Australlian coasts
Prepare ye peace to be with her
Even our wallaby arise and let us go back down there at noon
For the shadows of evening are stretched out still....
Musculature
12-27-15
For my Quomodo
Our cattle catches blackleg
A hand steady on the wheel
Not too proud to beg
Word unto us for the daylight look comes back into view
Like a dramatic transition
The shepherds with their flocks come unto her
They pitch their tents against her round about
And I can almost hear the light in our musculature we flex it
And thick darkness we are cast out
So that we can come on back in
And learn to be thankful for such a shelter
Given as our heritage....
Denouement
12-27-15
Is it the cry of the river
Or the moonlight shining through
Today our love will deliver the me that is in you
For denouement our final resolution this year the same as the last
To just enjoy the coffee
Such a measurable goal for our persiflage
And rather take heed lest you raise your eyes to heaven to see something
But fret not and just hold me close and say you're forever mine
Which the Lord my God has given
Not too far down a road without a name
I, too can play this game....
