O, laager of wagons
Our love-in for the breath of dragons
Bring them from the fortress where lines are long
Our form of social activism
And no more of such a war
Senseless the more
They have healed also the hurt
From the least unto the greatest
And the seven things that God hatest
Everyone dealth falsely
Matthias chosen to take Judas' place
And many will be saved today
By this love-in and all grace
Waiting for the Spirit
The promise of Christ's return to earth

Two things uprooted
Your soul is again rebooted
Everyone given over to covet what they only think they want
It is not for you to know the times and seasons
So go and want it for the right reasons
Which you have heard from me
Stay right with it where the road unwinds
I don't even notice that she is gone
Everything in its right place
For rhymes written hours before the dawn
Right down to these dry bones
The order prescribed here
Scripture, our medicine for witnesses on earth
I'm not afraid of confusion
Moment to moment our rebirth

Febrile

Scripture had to be fulfilled
For another dollar killed Back in coffee heaven
The day after tomorrow
Of chyle emulsified
As a cloak of decency extracted
For another animadvert
To follow ones own ambition
And learn how to live it
Thus saith the Lord
Stand ye in the ways
Being commanded to write these compositions
Of new hope by my faith
Where tomorrow I learn to both manage and cope
Let another take his office
For Spirit sent from heaven
I put my good foot forward febrile...
