unfinished business

Unfinished Business
1-9-03

Seems like I said all there is to be said
But all I need to do is a little digging in these mines
And at times I get so hungry
That I would eat my stale bread
Don't want to take it for granted
For no one ever draws perfectly straight lines
And so I begin writing another book
Along the lines of a theme of a photograph I recently took
A magic moment frozen and suspended and such
Melted like an ice cube in a teacup
As such a love was made real
When at first I only depended
And you're going to need this
So you can be on your way
It was unfinished business
The love that never ended...

Those Other Rules
1-9-03

For the thousandth time
So I have three hours to kill
But instead I choose to bring them back to life
I picture my cat back at home waiting for me on the window sill
One more reason to forsake selfishness and strife
And so I choose to set myself free from the cage
For when I have this freedom
I need seek out other rules, statutes and laws from above
And a passion for truth that soon will rage
As I am not one to stand in judgment
Nor call them neither wisemen nor fools
And so for the thousandth and first time
I write about having three hours to kill
And it's one more day back at work
As with this Spirit I will cry out to get my fill....
