arbiter

Arbiter
11-19-15

Keep your eyes on the prize
Selected to settle disputes
For usages to arbitrate
Why is thy countenance sad
When there is much to recreate
This is nothing else but sorrow of heart
It gets old as it gets new again
In this flask for the power of another pious pen
Mourning for transgression of those carried away
Making proclamation and never again to betray
To gather unto Jerusalem and make someone's day
You are scattered abroad
Indeed you are the Son of God
For arbiter and umpire
To inspire and start this fire
Keep your eyes on the prize
Emphasize the Word...

All Three (Not One Third)
11-19-15

It is not good for a man to be alone
So why do I go without of better half
With a heart as cold as stone
Along to Jams of pseudo-jazz
A Christian marriage is a Trinity
Be the hypotenuse
He's not one third
He's all three
We have dealt very corruptly against thee
We have broken all the rules
Even God doesn't do life alone
Ye see the distress that we're in
I'm a prisoner today for this cause
And I have broken all the laws....

On Philippians 2:1-4 (look this up)
11-19-15

Paul writes to the Ephesians while he's locked away
Giving God thanks for somewhere to stay
Be the hypotenuse of your obtuse triangle
Get in on the juice for the half mast flying star spangle
We're just better together in spite of dreary weather
O, why, O just because
O, why try but to catch that early morning buzz
My goal is to quote Scripture  for memorization
Esteeming others as better than oneself
We live in a culture of judgment
That's not church
For I was the king's cupbearer
As wine is before him....
