anniversary

Anniversary
4-4-13

It's been almost a year since my cat passed away
And now I can see her in my mind's eye
As a figure of true glory and eminence
Given the hope that I will see her again
On the other side of the life I now hope for
With the whole weekend ahead of me
In hopes to make things better
In this haven and abode
Yeah, it's been almost a year
Leaving me with a sweeter taste in my mouth
With the evidence of things not seen and hope undeferred....

Fisher
4-4-13

In darker memories of my old school Fisher boom box
I partake in this nostalgia that goes good on the rocks
Recollecting last night's encounter with the spirit in my hallway
Whistling to an eerie tune of oddities I cannot describe in words
Reflecting on how I would sit up nights
And study my middle school yearbook
In my fantasies of my dreamlike success
In darker memories of my Fisher....

Horizon
4-5-13

On the horizon where waters meet the expanse
I wake up once again early and fresh
Given another chance with nothing on my mind to write about
Save that which comes from intuition
Going to battle with this inspiration
Packing my bags with this munition
As so I wrote this poem for the sake of itself
Gazing upon the horizon
Where it all begins again today.....

Goal
4-5-13

By the darkness in this distance
We hope to renounce and transcend this resistance
With a want to be no longer he whom is in control
Where we take it upon ourselves
To make this measurable goal
Yeah, something possible and realistic
Something we can do while we just be
Something to yet liberate the mind and set us free....
