More Rain

Every hour on the hour
Again fed with the change that is in store for my pen
Thinking rather of what to do
That what makes up the where and when
By the playing of another acoustic set
Designed to yet enlighten
Where I conjure up last night's dreams
Of seeking new archives at the market
Where there is much in store for our gain
If this is what we would choose
By the falling of more rain....

When it comes from a place you never know existed
Then indeed it is from the God that brings rain upon the earth
To nourish all that is green
Today promoting new beginnings in rebirth
Where I seek emancipation from where I might be bound
Practicing my thankfulness in having the book to know just how to live
And to learn how to live with it
My friend, that is what I hope for you just as well....

Paying more money for jeans with holes
To catch up with the trends at hand
Where the things we buy only perish
Confusing what we want with that which we ought to cherish
But, O, alas, do I really live such a way
Today to please my God in being forty
Following the month of May
Being one to learn to accept what is dark and dreary
Where the trial of my faith today is more precious than gold.....
