Feeling as if I know where I was
Trying hard where I cannot give back
In Mecklenburg County on the Baltic sea
Here she is
Time for drugs
All for our hydrangea
To make themselves glad
Rising again tonight as full as can be
Now Peter sat without at meat
I know not what thou sayest
Something made it sad
And just a passing fad
Over Currituck
Stepping right in....

Foible and flaw, a cry of victory
And another of defeat
I'll meet you soon
At the cul-de-sac of our unnamed street
On a back porch in July
Our browazlia smiles  
While indoors I'd rather be with you
Picking it back out to have some fun
I rest as if I know where it will take me through
Without such a unique catchphrase
Or duchy of our dukedom
Back in Carrollton of north Texas
Rumbustious and unruly
Striking the morning atomic dawn
