Now, We Are Heirs
6-4-14
Going back to square one
As the junction of my neuroplasticity
With such acceptance exercised in knowing
Coping with spiritual pleurisy
Coughing up my hair ball
As my cat does in the morning
It's a new day as I plow into chapter eleven
As Now is the time of the kingdom of heaven
O, Now we are heirs of the promise
By the doctrine of the new heaven
O, what thing will I trade for a witness
For thee what shall I liken or try to equal to you
Going back to square one
In going full circle with it
For thy breach is great
Like the sea in the depths
Of all that is you in the real me....
Yet
6-4-14
Yet to buttress and support
Yet to admonish and exhort
Yet to smoke another Newport
Yet to encourage and prop up
Yet to fill again my coffee cup
Yet to write my optimum composition
Yet to complete another Doctor Pepper mission
Thy prophets have seen vain and foolish things
In discovering thine iniquity
Turning away our captivity
Yet to hear the song that the evening Jay yet sings
This is my poem poorly written
For the cause of blue ink alone
Yet to draw the line in the sand
As one to yet cast the first stone....
Holding Out For Something Sweeter
6-5-14
I was holding out for something sweeter
In no regards for the street corner parking meter
Plowing into chapter eleven
That doth serve as my egg beater
Yet to do my research on the passion test
And I am glad to have once again gone west
As the important thing is not to think too much
But to do what stirs the love
In getting back in touch
Playing miscellaneous archives
That serve as my crane and crutch
I ask, did God reject his people
No, by no means
Did he by the view of the high spire and steeple
O, Jehovah have they killed their prophets
Digging up the altars
Where there is much to offer there....
