no cream

No Cream (Plenty of Sugar)
6-4-14

Thinking about another twenty dollar investment in chicken
Living beyond my means
According to the flesh yet to quicken
And the comet is coming between me and thee
Girl, that can make it all clean
I pay my dues and spread the news
And tomorrow make again the library scene
Under the shadow of such a doer
Our writing machine
According to the glory of another Cadillac dream
O, do not say in your heart who shall ascend
By my morning coffee
With plenty of sugar and no cream
Loving it black like those valiant steeds
Where met are all my wants and needs
Upon the cross where Christ still bleeds....

On Lamentation 2:10
6-4-14

Casting up dust upon their heads
Going to work in high class hotels
In making all of the beds
Travelling with much baggage
In not forgetting to take my meds
Sitting upon the ground and keeping silence
Girding ourselves with sackcloth in interceding
Even for the feds
O, what a rhyme it can be to me
But not according to the things I can see
As such virgins hang down their heads to the ground
Yet to ferrotype my fashion
As through the wire flows quality sonorous sound
According to what today I have found....
