Festus Recounts

Festus Recounts
5-19-16

Festus recounts the case to king Agrippa
O, all this separation pierces me to the heart
Meet me down there soon
And we'll hit it off as good friends
Burning our candle at both ends
The bitter taste still lingers on
For portents and premonitions
Sun down and yellow moon a slither
Our emblematic ditty
And bringing treats home for my kitty
I might have sung as I come here young
I mess up her hair and introduce her to another chair
Spirited to care
Going past Elizabeth City
Where the streets are pretty....

Memorial (It's Gloom Alone)
5-19-16

It's gloom alone that counts
In our backroom
Looking for William Cobbet
In a need of another cigarette
Piebald black and white
Beauty walks the razor's edge at Saratoga
East of springs where we find things
It is only me that can reduce me to tears
Don't you cry and never mind the doubts and fears
For when he returns come Caesar our Nero
With wisdom close to infinity next to zero
For a memorial and a reminder of horse's legs hinder
And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him
Accept it always
And in a place with thankfulness....

Invite The Poor And Homeless
5-19-16

Faster than any train on the rail
No such disaster for sugar cane
As to set sail where wist thou we prepare this Passover
I heard all of these rumors
Appointing themselves to set it up
And to invite the poor and hopeless
As Agrippa prepares to hear Paul in another parallel bible study
For the books
What makes the wind want to blow
Tonight let ye into to wits to such a man
To tell him my time has come
But not for Coke and rum
At the house with my disciples
Rise and stand on your feet
For I appeared to you for this purpose....
