Satire On Idolatry
6-2-16

Another good one to write within and without
Down by the Old Montgomery station in the rain
I step out regardless
In heaven we will understand
I heaven there would be no fear
Third hour, nine in the morning
A penny a day even to those whom work less
O, carpenter and mechanic
We'll work it all out
To recognize a familiar
Body shaped being like mine
For yellow and red, for black and white
Come the theological definition unmerited
Love for sinful man where we knock each other out
And tell them what it's all about here till eleven
We can work wonders that still when I repent
I'll recall it
I had my coat and O, I know....

Determining
6-4-16

Heading on out in the jungle
Looking for the women that bungle
Grace is our free gift from Jesus
Not the best way to mix it up
Very little to do with us
So it is based on God's grace
And not upon our performance
Be good to yourself the rest of the day
That's not all that I want for you
As pastors get a lot of attention
And we don't learn about it in high school detention
Which all the peace I can attain
For a moment did we still complain
About what we're missing out on
As the family is a place to serve
God demonstrates what is just and fair
That's not all that I want from you
In taking in the symphony....
