candlestick

Candlestick
9-29-13

Lay not up treasures where dust and moth doth corrupt
Chase not after earthly pleasures towards something fleeting
Like a volcano about to erupt
By this release of this flame of fire
Of the Seven Lamps never to be extinguished
Burning with the oil of the Holy Spirit
Shining light upon the things we cannot know of ourselves
Giving ear to the dusty and idle novels
On my mahogany and broom wood shelves
It is a gift of God and not something for one to earn
In that my fire here is to live and learn...

Believe And Receive
9-29-13

The cause of ones suffering is his attachment
To his desires even when we receive our petition to be answered
If we believe to but perceive and to rejoice in where we grieve
And joy doth come in the morning
Where painted cakes do not satisfy the hunger that remains
Given a better understanding of such Scripture now that I have been there....

Tapasia
9-29-13

Insufficient are ones outward forms
Where one needs buckle down to weather these storms
Where we are not to organize this truth or try to put it in a box
To which a follower conforms
Not trying to describe such a gift in words like I do here
Observing wisps of smoke rise with my love that casts out all fear
In that when we know there is nothing we ought be afraid of
With light to dissipate all darkness
Taking up our sword of this love....

Dogged
9-29-13

The ego is a Dobermine Pincher
Wanting to get his jaws around the issues of life
Like they are bones tossed to the wayside
In my remembrance of putting love letters on her gate
She said she would tear me in half
Which was not so far from the truth
In that the ego looks for trouble in dark corners of alleys
Of where I come from
Hoping to become as one again
So that I might know God's love that casts out all fear....
