Great Commandment
9-28-13
Using my distress to love God with all of my mind
Where the stars shine in the night
As planets are aligned
Wherein by night seasons
My teeth so yet I grind
Observing the great commandment
To love God with all of my soul
Where eating a good breakfast
Will serve as my dream and goal
Remembering last night's dreams
Of going fishing in dark waters
In another plentiful deep and dark hole
Plowing Through
9-28-13
True to myself in my dance of dolor and delight
Plowing my way through
Straight into another mild and pleasant Saturday night
Counting not my hues exterior
In that I am said to be as such white
Terrified of Monday evening
Where I face the marketplace
By faith in fright true to myself
Trying not to overthink
The fixing today of my kitchen sink
To see that we can learn something every day
In another unconventional and creative way
True to myself and given these words to pen and to say....
Fizz
9-28-13
A reckless blunder is made all over my living room floor
Hoping the Coca Cola drops will dry out
Over the next two hours
Of waiting for the storm to blow over
Seeing that I get myself in trouble
In ordering out and paying double
Seeing a need to report this incident
Of my froth and bubble
In this reckless blunder
Serving its purpose
Thankful that such is all that it is....
