A No Mystery

Suggesting the rapid constant change
And unsubstantial growth
Of the mystery aspect
Another attempt at prose
Into the country of the Gadarines
I've got the Saturday night special
I pray that all will be well with me and Mother
Trying not to think too far ahead
To just live for now and today
Amphibious of mixed or twofold nature
I step out for a quick fix
Smoking in the rain is not much fun
Such is no mystery
He who sows the seed is the Son of man....





Was It Worth It (Yeah)

I ask myself was it worth it
And I say yeah, every last puff
In my hotbed such an environment conducive to vigorous growth
People talk about how they feel
But I never hear another jihad
Yeah, another spiritual struggle
It might be as the day is dark
Out here on my own Staten Island
For our building of amassing
Of many innumerable shades of gray
I make the most of such a day
Keeping watch of burning Lindens
And extravagant praise
Sometimes acceptance really works....
